The raw materials used by Mag47 are selected with great care. Murano glass is a typical product of the lagoon with centuries of history and tradition, making it famous worldwide. The production of this artistic glass requires several stages and is extremely complicated. This is why the glass used in Mag47 plates is meticulously and carefully worked by expert glassmakers from the Island of Murano.
The silver used in Mag47 products is ultra-pure 999 grade, i.e. 99.9% silver content. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the amount of silver used in the plate can be adjusted to different weights. The uniqueness of combining this silver with prestigious Murano glass results in unprecedented pieces, never seen in the history of the two materials.

Murano glass and silver become one, thanks to an eco-friendly finish created by sputtering. Sputtering is technology’s final frontier in the field of zero-impact processes. Mag47 is on a constant quest for beauty, so we always consider the pollution aspect of our work.
The process used for Mag47 products was researched and developed with master glassmakers. It’s a technique that involves the manual cracking of sheets of Murano glass to create original items that bond with silver in an eternal union. What’s more, every product can be completely personalised with the addition of initials or bespoke dedications.

Personalised Dedications
Mag47 offers the opportunity to personalise any product with a dedication: these are all added manually by our master glassmakers using lead paste in gold, silver or black. The dedication is in relief on the glass surface and is dried by kiln-firing.
